The Dalmore 35 Year Old is an exceptionally refined single malt shaped through three and a half decades of maturation and carefully selected cask influences. Its maturation brings together American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, Colheita Port pipes, and rare casks that previously held 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry, before the components are reunited in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for further integration. This layered approach complements The Dalmore’s distinctive character with depth and elegance, while the presentation in a bespoke hand-blown Baccarat decanter, finished with a solid silver stag by Hamilton & Inches, reflects the expression’s exceptional craftsmanship and presentation.
The aroma opens with roasted Colombian coffee, liquorice, orange, molasses, morello cherries, and ginger. On the palate, tangy marmalade, ground cinnamon, chocolate cake, roasted chestnuts, and raisins create a rich, layered profile. The finish develops into notes of mango, marinated plums, and rich pineapple, leaving a long and expressive impression marked by fruit, spice, and chocolate-like depth.
