Rémy Martin Louis XIII Black Pearl Tribute to the Birthplace is an exceptionally limited Louis XIII creation inspired by the historic birthplace of the House’s most celebrated expression. The concept centers on Le Grollet, a historic location deeply connected with the heritage of Louis XIII. To capture the character associated with this place, Baptiste Loiseau selected a rare eau-de-vie from the House’s collection of demijohns that had been identified as carrying the imprint of Le Grollet, then married it in a single tierçon to create a singular blend shaped by its sense of place and long history. The experience is further distinguished by an innovative presentation designed to recreate the cooler natural conditions associated with Le Grollet, with each decanter housed in a bespoke cooling case that allows the blend to rest at a lower temperature than the surrounding environment. Limited to 398 decanters worldwide, the creation is presented in a reimagined Louis XIII decanter featuring midnight-blue reflections inspired by the mystery, depth, and darkness associated with its historic birthplace.
