Blended from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Pessac-Léognan wines are beautifully balanced with fine-grained structured tannins, and exhibit classic notes of tobacco, cassis, dark cherry, leather and tar, as well as a distinctive minerality.
A balanced acidity and integrated sweet vanilla oak notes create an elegant Chardonnay that is distinctly Northwest. We love this wine with Dungeness crab or mussels.
Still dry and concentrated and with swathes of rich tannins, the wine is dark and dense. The undertow of ripe black fruit is impressive. It obviously has considerable aging potential.
Tart raspberry, bay leaf, dark Gaviota strawberry and red currants lead the attack. Freshly turned soil, chalk dust and cacao nibs lend a textural counterpoint to the suave fruit.
Named for a north-to-south throughway that traverses Napa Valley, this blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Cab Franc with small portions of Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Merlot exudes aromas of mint, cedar, and ripe blackberry.
