Macallan Distil Your World Paris Edition captures the character of Paris through an intricate collaboration between Macallan Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell and the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca. Inspired by Paris’s celebrated culinary heritage, the expression combines the influence of sherry-seasoned European oak and sherry-seasoned American oak casks to create a refined single malt with a distinctly Parisian character. The presentation extends the theme beyond the bottle, with a gift box illustrating notable Paris landmarks and a warm “street yellow” backdrop inspired by the glow of Parisian street lamps and the River Seine. Paris-based artist Cassandre Montoriol further complements the presentation with a distinctive gouache illustration celebrating the city’s atmosphere and visual character.
The nose reveals elegant baked almond croissant and perfumed rose aromas, followed by sweet nectarine, sandalwood, and vanilla. On the palate, notes of buttered pastry and brioche meet peach melba and toasted oak, while the finish brings gentle spice.
