Hengshui Laobaigan is a special made of the famous local liquors in
Hebei, ranking first in the provinces as the most light aroma liquor. The
brewing history of Hengshui Laobaigan has a long history. It traced back
to the Han Dynasty, and it was officially named in the Ming Dynasty.
Hengshui Laobaigan is made of high-quality sorghum as raw material pure wheat. It adopts traditional process and two-row clearing process.
With its unique production process, it has created a typical style of the
smell. Elegant, mellow and rich, sweet and refreshing, and long
aftertaste. Lao in Chinese means old; it refers to the long history.
Bai means transparency, refers to the crystal color.
In 1934, it participated in the Panama liquor competition. It also
exhibited in Hungary in 1948. In 1952, it was used as one of China's famous specialties and sent to the North Korean battlefield.
