Its name, “Hongyun Dangtou,” meaning “good fortune at your doorstep,” symbolizes a prosperous New Year, abundant harvests, and auspicious blessings. Launched as a high-quality daily-drinking baijiu during the Spring Festival season, it blends the cultural sentiment of the traditional “New Year Red” with the ceremonial importance of gifting and family banquets. The creative inspiration comes from the premium grains of Yichuan (Baishui, Shaanxi) and the ancient fermentation environment of traditional cellar mud. Upholding Dukang’s heartfelt motto of “spending a lifetime crafting the perfect brew,” this baijiu also carries the mission of “revitalizing Dukang and bringing honor to the nation,” reflecting a spirit of red heritage.

The overall taste of Dukang “Hongyun Dangtou” is rich, rounded, and full-bodied, with a harmonious blend of mellow sweetness and refreshing depth. It goes down smoothly, with intertwining notes of grain and cellar aroma. Mid‑palate brings a slight sweetness, while the finish is clean with a hint of bitterness. Water is the foundation of liquor, and the Xuanwu Ancient Spring is the source of the water used in making Du Kang liquor. This spring water contains over 40 trace elements beneficial to human health, such as selenium and strontium. The high-quality water, combined with the unique microbial community in the brewing environment, creates a mellow Du Kang liquor. Du Kang liquor is made from sorghum and wheat, grown in the natural geographical environment of the brewing site. The liquor is brewed using ancient techniques such as "three steaming, three brewing, five leveling, and six methods", the single-grain solid-state fermentation, and traditional techniques like a fork-loaded steamer, old-style steamer, the timing for wine extraction, manual brewing, mixed steaming and burning, and quality selection for wine picking.

The cellar pits cultivated with mulberry mud are conducive to the cultivation and survival of microorganisms, giving Du Kang liquor a unique aroma. Over 600 beneficial microbial communities inhabit the pits, producing nearly a hundred aromatic and flavorful substances, ensuring the richness and sweetness of Du Kang liquor. The base wine is meticulously blended by three national-level masters, and the fine wine undergoes a final transformation in constant-temperature wine cellars, resulting in a mellow, sweet, and elegant liquor.

Red Moment

40ml Dukang, 15ml hawthorn syrup (or hawthorn juice), 15ml fresh lemon juice, 60ml ginger beer, 1 dried red date (for garnish), Ice cubes (as needed)

Add ice, Dukang “Hongyun Dangtou,” hawthorn syrup, and lemon juice to a shaker. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with a dried red date or a slice of dried orange.

杜康红运当头 40ml,山楂糖浆(或山楂汁浓缩)15ml,新鲜柠檬汁 15ml,姜汁啤酒 60ml,红枣干 1枚(装饰),冰块适量

在雪克壶中加入冰块、杜康红运当头、山楂糖浆与柠檬汁。用力摇匀约15秒,将混合液过滤倒入装有冰块的高球杯中。倒入姜汁啤酒至满杯,用红枣干或一片干橙片作装饰即可。
