Product details
Aramasa Nirugame 10th Anniversary Limited Edition is a commemorative release from Aramasa Brewery’s Private Lab series, celebrating the history of Nirugame, which first appeared as a prototype in 2014. Produced using Akita-grown rice, this distinctive expression explores low-polishing production and the rare Kijoshu style, in which an existing rice-based brew is used in place of some of the water during production. The anniversary edition was crafted during the 2023 brewing year and released in 2024, which features a distinctive presentation designed in collaboration with French contemporary artist Nicolas Buffe. Its illustrated packaging draws inspiration from Nirugame’s turtle character and blends Japanese symbolism with modern artistic expression, making this gift-box edition a notable addition for collectors.
The flavor profile reflects Aramasa’s distinctive balance of lively acidity and rice-derived richness. Its character is described as juicy and vibrant, with impressions of fresh grapes complemented by savory rice umami. The combination of bright acidity and a fuller grain character gives this limited anniversary release its distinctive identity.
