Good dark red with ruby highlights. Complex, vibrant aromas of blackcurrant, graphite, pipe tobacco and minerals. Lush, fine-grained and superconcentrated; velvety in texture despite possessing fruit of steel.
Opulent, broad, full-bodied and more mature than I expected given how this wine showed in its youth, this deep, rich Cabernet Sauvignon is exceptional. However, in this vintage it has to take a back seat to a number of other cuvees.
Opaque purple in color with blackberry, creosote, incense and charcoal notes, a touch of spring flowers, blueberry and blackberry, the wine is full-bodied, multidimensional with terrific concentration, purity and palate presence.
