Product details
Founded in 1999 by the Duncan family of Silver Oak, Twomey was conceived as an elegant new chapter dedicated to fine Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc from California and Oregon. The 2022 Anderson Valley bottling draws solely from Twomey’s estate holdings at Monument Tree and Bearman Bend in Anderson Valley—a true cool-climate appellation defined by fog-cooled mornings, long hang-time, and natural freshness. Even in a vintage with notable summer heat, the valley expressed its resilience: shows both refinement and energy, marked by graceful structure, lifted acidity, and a sense of place that Twomey carefully preserves through sustainable farming and minimal intervention.
On the palate, the 2022 vintage is a vivid expression of Anderson Valley. It offers a silky texture layered with bright acidity that carries through the mid-palate and into a lifted, elegant finish. Aromas and flavors of dark cherry, wild strawberry, and nougat are complemented by fir tips, forest floor, and subtle underbrush, showcasing the complexity and detail that make this site so distinctive. Supporting notes of black tea, soft spice, and stony minerality add depth, while fine, dusty tannins frame the wine with finesse and balance.
