Taylor Fladgate Very Old Tawny Port Kingsman Edition is an exceptionally rare expression created from precious reserves of very old cask-aged Port, with components matured for almost nine decades in seasoned oak casks. Developed through a collaboration between Taylor Fladgate and Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn, the release reflects shared values of heritage, tradition, meticulous attention to detail, and refined presentation. Taylor Fladgate’s expert blenders selected rare components from its historic reserves and carefully assembled them before allowing the blend to rest in cask for several months, giving the individual elements time to integrate and develop greater balance and harmony. The finished expression is presented in a bespoke crystal decanter with gold detailing and an elegant presentation box, with only 700 bottles produced.
The aroma is intense and multi-layered, opening with rich molasses and butterscotch alongside almond and dried fig, followed by vanilla, black pepper, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Subtle cedar and balsam notes emerge in the background, adding further depth. The palate is smooth and velvety with impressive volume and density, while vibrant acidity brings balance through the mid-palate. A concentrated butterscotch character carries through to a long, lingering finish marked by mellow, complex aromas.
