Product details
This 2022 vintage hails from a 100% estate-grown and sustainably farmed vineyard nestled in the renowned Rutherford region of Napa Valley. The estate is committed to producing the highest quality estate wines without compromise. The fruit was hand-harvested in the cool morning hours and brought to the winery in half-ton bins. Warm fermentation temperatures were encouraged along with gentle cap maceration to achieve the desired color and structure for the wine before an extended maceration time on skins prior to final pressing. The wine was transferred directly to barrel for 18 months of maturation. Forty-eight percent of the sorted berries used in this blend were fermented in French oak barrels and three percent were fermented in small concrete tanks, both to add layers of complexity to the wine.
The 2022 vintage presents a deep ruby hue with an intense bouquet of black plum, dried fig, black pepper, roasted coffee, and notes of anise. On the palate, it offers a richly textured experience with pleasing round tannins and a freshness that highlights ripe blueberries, dark cherry, baking spices, and caramel notes. The finish is satisfying and lengthy, leaving a lasting impression of its complexity and depth.
