Nose is a pleasant mix of fruity sweetness, vanilla custard, oak, and banana. A rush of corn and banana upfront that’s followed by a sweet blend of vanilla and walnut. Minor traces of smoke, cinnamon, and maple creep in and add some additional nuance.
Dry, medium bodied and smooth with a clean finish: faintly salty with a slight sherry note and sea air. Awarded Silver Medal at SF World Spirits Competition 2020.
The aromas linger on grains, vanilla, warm pears, and a dash of cinnamon. Flavors build on the aromas and add grape, orange zest, and a bit of butterscotch.
This malt driven spirit is truly a reflection of contemporary Japanese whisky. A blend of 75% malt whisky and 25% corn, it’s incredibly balanced, soft and layered.
