Product details
Rooted in San Francisco’s storied past, this offering carries forward a legacy of thoughtful revival. Born from a bold vision in the early 1990s to resurrect America’s early malted rye traditions, it emerges from a mash made entirely of malted rye and honors the resilience of the city following the 1906 upheaval—its commemorative edition presented in a keepsake box with a metal topper. Aged for thirteen years in carefully selected, once-used fine-grain American oak casks, this edition marries rich heritage with refined character.
On the nose, it reveals elegant facets of citrus, baking spice, and sandalwood; these give way to a plush entry of soft stone fruit sweetness, a whisper of peppercorn, and creamy spices—culminating in a finish that lingers with delicate orange flower water, gentle rye spice, and crisp black tea undertones.
