Product details
Discovered when the house was reawakened in 2008 after nearly two decades of silence, this remarkable 1972 treasure belongs to the Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection, carefully chosen by Master Blender Rachel Barrie. Resting undisturbed for 51 years in an Oloroso puncheon, it captures the dialogue between coastal air, seasoned oak, and the long passage of time. Presented in a molten bronze hue, it reflects not only its age but also the extraordinary depth shaped by both nature and nurture, making it an exceptionally rare expression of heritage and patience.
The nose reveals sun-dried raisin, blood orange preserve, and maraschino cherry, delicately lifted by sandalwood, spiced vetiver, and a touch of sea salt. On the palate, enveloping waves of raisin balsamic and blackberry jus unfold, followed by salted treacle enriched with orange and sloe syrup. The finish is enduring and layered, weaving sweetness, fruit, and coastal character into a refined harmony that lingers gracefully.
