Player Exclusive: Father and Son Edition marks a milestone in Stephen Curry’s Gentleman's Cut bourbon line, honoring both his 16th NBA season and his father Dell Curry’s own 16-year career. Crafted in collaboration with Game Changer Distillery in Boone County, Kentucky, and Napa vintner John Schwartz, this ultra‑limited release features just 1,000 hand‑numbered bottles, each signed and encased in a collector’s walnut box. The whiskey was distilled in August 2008 and aged for 16 years in 500‑gallon copper pot stills, following a mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley, reflecting Curry’s personal involvement at every stage—from blending to bottling and design.
This 100‑proof bourbon opens with intense aromatics of dried cherries and caramelized sugar, followed by nuanced layers of fig, cinnamon spice, fine tobacco leaf, and warm leather, all brought into balance by integrated tannins from its extended oak aging. On the palate, expect a rich, polished mouthfeel with depth, polish, and a long, smoky finish that lingers gracefully. Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water, it’s sublime alongside dark chocolate desserts, aged smoked meats, or robust charcuterie boards, where its spice and fruit complexity can truly shine.
