Bottled by the independent storyteller brand Fable Whisky, the Chapter 4 “Bay” Benrinnes release captures the rugged character of its Speyside homeland and the heritage-rich Benrinnes Distillery. Distilled in 2009, this whisky aged for 12 years in a carefully selected refill hogshead before being bottled at natural cask strength of approximately 58.7% ABV—without chill-filtration and in its natural color. Limited to just ~222 bottles, it is part of Fable’s narrative-driven series, each expression accompanied by bespoke artwork inspired by the Scottish coastline and infused with the bottler’s signature craft ethos.
On the nose, Chapter 4 sports a bold bouquet of bitter tangerine peel, dark chocolate, cold brew coffee, and assertive toasted oak, mingled with meaty undertones, yeast, and cinnamon spice.
