Fully mature, this medium bodied, elegant, fresh, bright charmer serves up its tobacco, spicy, green leafy, cedarwood, plum and cherry nose without being asked twiced.
Extremely floral and aromatic with violets and lavender throughout. Black olives, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, very fine-grained tannins that run the length of the wine.
Opulent, broad, full-bodied and more mature than I expected given how this wine showed in its youth, this deep, rich Cabernet Sauvignon is exceptional. However, in this vintage it has to take a back seat to a number of other cuvees.

Opulent yet restrained aromas which give the impression of ripeness. A sense of hedonism pervades here – and it’s very welcome too. Long and elegant with good depth of fruit, well woven tannins and a long, sensuous finish.
From a magnum, this lighter styled Schrader was medium bodied, mature and served up its sweet, fresh, bright, dark red cherry and earthy profile, with ease. This is not a wine that needs decanting or further aging.
