Product details
Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 is a highly sought-after Napa Valley release crafted exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the historic J.J. Cohn Estate in Rutherford. Only the finest vineyard blocks were selected, with the fruit harvested by hand and carefully sorted before and after destemming to ensure exceptional quality. Following an extended period of skin contact, the vintage was gently pressed and matured in French oak for approximately 22 months before bottling without fining or filtration. Produced in an extremely limited quantity of just 1,000 cases, this 2010 vintage reflects Scarecrow's dedication to precision, heritage, and the distinctive character of its renowned Rutherford estate.
It opens with expressive aromas of boysenberry and cocoa, layered with cinnamon, baking spices, warm berry jam, vanilla, and toasted pecans. On the palate, dark berry notes are complemented by bright, fresh acidity, creating a vibrant and juicy profile from beginning to end. The finish concludes with a lingering impression of liquid chocolate, adding depth and elegance to this remarkable vintage. Food pairing suggestions include grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, braised short ribs, aged hard cheeses, and dark chocolate desserts.
