Product details
Aroma / Nose: Bright and highly complex bouquet led by crisp apple, ripe pear, and lemon peel. It features a prominent top note of apple blossoms balanced by chalky, mineral soil tones and a very deft framing of vanillin oak.
Taste / Palate: Full-bodied, deep, and succulent. The mid-palate centers on a beautiful core of orchard fruits layered with distinct limestone inflection.
Acidity & Structure: The vintage stands out for its high, energetic acidity (driven by healthy malic levels), which perfectly counters the wine's natural richness and keeps it exceptionally lifted.
Finish: Very long, pure, and immaculately balanced with a clean, lingering stony/mineral persistence.
The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet villages bottling from Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is excellent. The wine delivers a bright and complex bouquet of apple, pear, chalky soil tones, a touch of lemon peel, a deft framing of vanillin oak and a topnote of apple blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, vibrant and precise, with a beautiful core of fruit, lovely soil inflection, racy acids and a very long, pure and impeccably balanced finish.
