Clase Azul Tequila Añejo Día de los Muertos Limited Edition 2025 is the fifth and final installment of the brand’s Nuestros Recuerdos annual limited-edition series, created as a tribute to the traditions and memories at the heart of Día de Muertos. The series began in 2021 with Sabores, followed by Colores in 2022, Aromas in 2023, and Música in 2024, with this final edition centered on the memories that keep loved ones present and the symbolic offerings that celebrate their lives. Crafted under the guidance of Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco, this añejo expression brings together selections aged from 12 to 38 months in first-use American whiskey casks. Part of the agave used for the expression was slow-cooked in a pit oven, contributing depth and layered character. The ivory-colored decanter continues the collection’s artistic storytelling, featuring a traditional ofrenda at its base, surrounded by imagery representing the presence of those being remembered.
The resulting profile is smooth and warm, with inviting notes of caramelized agave, bright orange zest, subtle clove, and oak-toasted spice. These elements create a layered expression that connects the character of the añejo with the themes of remembrance and celebration represented by the 2025 edition. The distinctive decanter and carefully developed flavor profile make this limited edition a notable presentation for collectors and admirers of Clase Azul’s Día de Muertos series. It can be enjoyed alongside traditional Mexican cuisine, grilled meats, roasted dishes, or desserts featuring caramel and citrus.
