Back in the days, Yanghe Daqu was listed as one of the top 10 Baijiu in China. As they started producing their new Yanghe Spirits Series, Yanghe Daqu faded into the background.
Yanghe Daqu uses Sorghum, glutinous rice, rice, corn, wheat, barley, and peas as ingredients. Sugar was derived from these grains, and then converted into alcohol through the added “Da Qu”.
Yanghe Daqu gained its fame from breaking through the three main Baijiu’s fragrance categories (soy fragrance, bold fragrance, and light fragrance). With softer aroma, and smoother structure, it was categorized as “soft fragrance”.
