Product details
Since 1983, the house of Warenghem has been at the forefront of innovation, establishing itself as a pioneer in the Breton tradition. In 1998, it introduced the very first French single malt under the Armorik name, setting a benchmark for craftsmanship. Guided by managing director David Roussier and informed by the expertise of the late Jim Swan, the creation reflects decades of careful refinement. While remaining faithful to its two pot stills, Warenghem has explored the potential of Breton oak and local casks, combining heritage and innovation to produce a uniquely expressive offering for discerning enthusiasts.
This particular release draws from a second-fill oloroso sherry cask, honoring the Celtic roots of the Lannion region. Its character is defined by layers of richness and complexity, starting with the earthy warmth of lightly charred wood and subtle peat nuances. Notes of dried fruit, toasted nuts, and gentle spices emerge alongside a lingering depth, creating a balanced and immersive experience. The finish is long and satisfying, with a gentle warmth that echoes the craftsmanship and terroir from which it originates.
