Product details
A statement of Napa ambition: this Reserve began with a clear brief — capture the unmistakable power of the valley while keeping an overall sense of restraint and elegance. To achieve that balance, the team sourced fruit from superb vineyards across several sub-AVAs, starting with a core from Oakville, and kept each lot separate throughout maturation so its distinctive character could be preserved. Lots were matured in French oak for 15 months and tasted repeatedly through the year; only the most compelling components were selected and brought together in a meticulous final blend. The result is a refined, deeply expressive bottling that reads as a confident yet measured reflection of Napa Valley terroir.
On the nose it offers a concentrated bouquet of dark berry and ripe black cherry framed by notes of cassis and a hint of warm baking spice. The palate is layered and coherent — a dense core of fruit is supported by silky, sculpted tannins and a polished oak presence that adds depth without overpowering. Midpalate flavors of black plum, dark chocolate and subtle graphite give way to a long, resonant finish with lingering minerality and a refined, balanced grip that makes it well suited to rich roasted meats, aged cheeses, or dishes with layered savory components.
