The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Fresh Coconut marks the final chapter of The Macallan Harmony Collection, returning to The Macallan Estate and celebrating the natural world through a collaboration with the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca. Inspired by coconut and its connection to the culinary world, this limited expression highlights the natural coconut character associated with sherry-seasoned American oak casks, whose naturally occurring oak lactones contribute to the distinctive coconut aromas and flavors. The presentation continues the collection’s focus on natural materials, with the box incorporating discarded coconut fibers, giving new life to coconut by-products while creating a distinctive and thoughtfully designed presentation.
The nose opens with fresh coconut, zesty lime, lemon and orange, followed by tropical mango and papaya, vanilla, almond, sweet oak, nutmeg, and cinnamon. On the palate, sweet lime and lemon combine with vanilla sponge, desiccated coconut, icing sugar, coconut milk, sweet oak, and dried tropical fruits. The finish brings bursts of coconut and floral honey.
