Product details
Domaine Laguille, located in the heart of Bas‑Armagnac, has been managed by Colette and Guy Vignoli since the late 1980s. In 1990 they brought distillation in-house with a traditional alembic still, thanks to their single‑estate philosophy: everything—from vine cultivation to harvest, fermentation, distillation, and aging—happens on their property, ensuring a genuine expression of Gascony terroir. Their 20‑year‑old “Small Batch” Single Barrel is a carefully crafted blend drawn from ten individually selected barrels—each matured exclusively in Gascogne black‑oak casks and assembled in 2019 at 45 % ABV to highlight both depth and elegance. This limited offering represents Domaine Laguille’s unwavering commitment to authenticity, control, and artisanal care.
On the nose, this Armagnac unfolds with rich layers of dried fruit—golden raisin, fig, and apricot—complemented by warm spices, citrus peel, and fresh oak notes. The palate is smooth and inviting: more luscious fig and raisin emerge, drizzled with caramel and maple, finishing long and warming. Its velvety texture and well‑integrated wood spice make it a perfect contemplative sip for cooler evenings. For pairings, it shines with indulgent desserts like crème brûlée, sticky toffee pudding, and dark chocolate fondant, while also elevating savory moments—try it alongside aged cheeses such as Roquefort or Comté, or serve a dram with spiced nuts or foie gras for a truly decadent finale.
