Product details

Claxton's Cameronbridge 30-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky is a rare and refined expression from one of Scotland’s most historic distilleries. Distilled on September 10, 1992, at the renowned Cameronbridge Distillery—established in 1824 and a pioneer in continuous column distillation—this whisky was initially matured in traditional casks before being re-racked into a first-fill brandy quarter cask for a final year of finishing. Bottled on June 16, 2023, at 48.9% ABV, this limited release comprises only 156 bottles, each reflecting Claxton’s meticulous approach to cask selection and maturation. As an independent bottler, Claxton’s is dedicated to showcasing the unique character of each cask, ensuring that every release offers a distinctive and high-quality whisky experience.

On the nose, this 30-year-old single grain whisky presents inviting aromas of granola bars, sliced apple, honey, mixed peel, cherry, dried fruits, and a touch of chopped herbs. The palate is sweet and complex, featuring notes of golden syrup, oat bar, dried apricot, citrus peel, warm apple pie, caramel, and walnut. The finish is lively and enduring, with sharp apple notes complemented by dried fruits, baked pastries, cornflakes, and spice. This elegant and nuanced whisky pairs well with a variety of foods, including rich desserts like sticky toffee pudding, mature cheeses, and savory dishes such as roasted duck or charcuterie, allowing its intricate flavors to complement and enhance the dining experience.
