This individually numbered 2018 release brings together carefully selected mature malt whiskies from Scotland's Isle of Islay, each aged for a minimum of 26 years. Chosen by Fred and Cara Laing as the second chapter of the Big Peat Trilogy series, the Platinum Edition reflects the family's dedication to exceptional cask selection and traditional craftsmanship. Presented without added coloring or chill filtration, it preserves the natural character and complexity of its carefully matured components while honoring the distinctive style for which Big Peat is renowned.
The aroma reveals gently smoky barbecued meat, introducing a palate that balances sweet and salty notes before developing layers of coal dust and peat.
