Product details

Azumatsuru Junmai Ginjo White is a distinctive expression from Higashitsuru Brewery in Saga, a producer founded in 1896 with more than a century of history. After a period of closure during the late Showa era, the brewery reopened in 2009 with a renewed vision centered on creating expressions suited to a new generation. White reflects this forward-looking direction through its unconventional use of white koji, an approach that produces abundant citric acid and gives the profile a bright citrus-like freshness. Its striking black-and-white handwritten label, illustrated by renowned Saga designer Masako Mutsuro, reinforces the minimalist yet contemporary identity of this unique release.

The nose opens with lactic and spice-like nuances, while the palate is rich and rounded with a smooth, substantial texture and pronounced lactic character.
