Product details
Sho Chiku Bai Shirakabegura Shiho represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship from Takara Shuzo, created at the Shirakabegura facility in Kobe’s historic Nada district. Originally established in 1954 and reborn in 2001 with a renewed focus on excellence, Shirakabegura is dedicated to producing refined, high-end expressions that unite tradition with precision. Shiho, meaning “supreme treasure,” lives up to its name through uncompromising attention to detail, using only Hyogo Prefecture–grown Yamada Nishiki, one of Japan’s most esteemed rice varieties. Each grain is meticulously polished over several days to an exceptional degree, preserving its shape while enhancing purity. After careful preparation, the liquid is collected using the rare fukurozuri method, where it drips naturally by gravity, resulting in remarkable clarity, finesse, and elegance. Presented in a specially designed commemorative bottle, Shiho reflects Takara Shuzo’s heritage, skill, and pursuit of perfection.
On the palate, Shiho offers a graceful, refined profile highlighted by a delicate fruity fragrance and a silky, seamless texture. The flavor is poised and harmonious, unfolding gently with balance and precision rather than intensity. Subtle sweetness and softness are matched by a clean, elegant structure that lingers beautifully. Best enjoyed slightly chilled within a moderate temperature range, it reveals its full aromatic charm and composure, making each sip feel polished, serene, and deeply satisfying.
