Established in 1983 by Tony and Herta Peju, the winery is now led by their daughters, Ariana and Lisa, who continue the tradition of quality winemaking with a fresh and innovative approach. Peju's commitment to sustainability is evident in its organically farmed Rutherford vineyard and its certification as a Fish Friendly Farming estate across all six of its vineyards. The 2019 vintage benefitted from a long, warm growing season with balanced weather conditions, allowing for extended hang time that developed rich color, refined structure, and soft tannins in the grapes. Aged for 28 months in 85% new French and American oak, this wine represents the pinnacle of meticulous vineyard management and winemaking expertise.
