Longrow 21 Year Limited Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a heavily peated Scotch produced in limited quanitites and matured in a mix of sherry and bourbon casks.
The nose is powerful and immediately brings classic Springbank distillery aromas of farmyard, tropical fruit, tobacco, and a hint of honey. The palate is dominated first by darker elements of leather, smoky peat, and tobacco but then opens to oak spice, milk chocolate, and juicy tropical fruit. The finish lingers with more smoke, oak spice, and sweetness.
The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
