Once each year, the team revives a century-old process passed down from founder John Duff, hand-turning select concerto barley to achieve a depth and texture that modern methods cannot replicate. This annual release is shaped by meticulous attention to detail and slow maturation in carefully chosen virgin oak and first-fill casks, resulting in a naturally radiant golden color and an artisanal character. Guided by Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie, each edition is crafted with unique barley selections and individual strengths, making every year’s release distinct and collectible.
The Third Edition opens with inviting notes of soft malt sweetness, interwoven with bright accents of wild bergamot, fresh pear, and light honey. As it develops on the palate, a vibrant burst of clementine leads the way, layered with floral sweetness and a gentle grain-driven warmth.
