Since the 1700s, the historic Bouchard winery has been assembling one of the greatest collections of properties in Burgundy. Their 2020 Clos du Roi Beaune Premier Cru is a stunning bottle from a Premier Cru site noted for its well-draining rocky slopes and the perfectly ripe, full-bodied wines it puts forth.
Enchanting and elegant, with a lively ruby core in the glass. The aromas are led by a bounty of wild blackberries accented by roses, vanilla, clove, and Earl Grey tea. The palate is equally exciting, with a rich fruit core with spice and layers of energetic acidity and a long-lasting finish.
