This bottle of single malt whisky is one of Glenrothes "the Soleo Collection" series, produced in Speyside, Scotland. This series originated from the traditional Spanish grape winemaking method.
The term "Soleo" refers to the time, during which, the grapes are ripened in the sun. After the grapes are harvested manually, they are laid on the ground for sun exposure. The color of the grapes differs depending on the amount of exposure.
The red color of the outer packaging and wine label intuitively expresses the degree of sun exposure for grapes used in Maker’s Cut. It is 100% aged in first-filled Sherry casks.
