The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Combe Aux Moines was another barrel sample that was showing a little reduction, although it soon brushes that away with fleshy red cherry, strawberry and tinned apricot aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin, a killer line of acidity, fresh and vibrant with superb mineralité towards the energetic finish. This has great potential. Drink through 2035.
