Product details
Cellers Can Blau, founded in 2003, is one of the oldest projects of the Gil Family in Jumilla. Placed in El Molar, in the D.O. Montsant, this winery is the most diverse project regarding the grape varieties and the type of soils. The D.O. Montsant is nowadays releasing at its best the enological quality of its wines. Differently from its illustrious adjacent D.O. Priorato, in D.O. Montsant we work with unique varieties such as Cariñena or Mazuelo and Grenache, planted in and adapted to different types of soils. Nuria López Sarroca is the person in charge of the technical direction of the Winery.
Cellers Can Blau have 35Ha of vineyards, aged –on average- 40 years. We work with three different varieties, grown in three differently composed soils: sandy and clay soil for the Cariñena or Mazuelo vine, calcareous soil for the Syrah vine and slate and limestone-based soil for the Grenache, which gives personality and special features to grapes.
